Receive notifications on any Discord text channel

Discord's built-in webhooks offer an effortless way to receive automated notifications on your server when new episodes of your favorite shows are airing. By piping schedule updates directly into your chat rooms, you can turn your private Discord server into a customized tracking hub. All webhook alerts are based on the individual notification settings you configure for each show on your watchlist.

This integration is completely free to use for any shows currently saved in your favorites list (up to your account's maximum favorite limit). To keep your chat room clean, Series Reminder processes webhook events with smart scheduling logic: if you have overlapping alerts set for a show (like "Season Premiere" and "All Episodes" both active), we only send a single, combined notification when the episode drops.

How to Set Up Your Discord Webhook (Step-by-Step)

The setup process is simple and requires no advanced bot hosting. Personally, I created a dedicated, private text channel in my own Discord server just for Series Reminder updates, though you can use any existing text channel. Here is how to configure it:

  1. Step 1: Create a new Text Channel in your Discord server.
  2. Step 2: Generate a webhook for that text channel.
  3. Step 3: Copy the generated webhook URL.
  4. Step 4: Paste the webhook URL into our dedicated Discord Integration settings page.

Step 1: Create a New Text Channel

In your Discord server list, click the small plus sign (+) next to the "Text Channels" header to create a new channel.

Ensure the Channel Type is set to Text, give your channel a name (e.g., #series-alerts), and click create.

Step 2 & 3: Generate and Copy Your Webhook

Hover over your newly created text channel in your sidebar and click the small gear icon (Settings) to open the channel edit menu.

Click on the Integrations tab in the left-hand menu, and then click the Create Webhook button.

Discord will automatically generate a placeholder webhook (usually named "Captain Hook"). Expand the webhook details and click the green Copy Webhook URL button to save the link to your clipboard.

Step 4: Save to Series Reminder

Finally, navigate to the Discord Integration page on your Series Reminder dashboard, paste your copied webhook link into the text field, and save your changes.

Your integration is now fully active. Every morning when a favorite show from your watchlist has an episode scheduled to air, your Discord channel will receive a clean notification with release dates and network details.
