Frequently Asked Questions
The Amnesia anime finished its original television broadcast on AT-X on March 26, 2013. The series completed its scheduled 12-episode run after premiering in January of that year.
Amnesia was conceived as a single-cour promotional adaptation of Idea Factory's Otome visual novel game rather than an ongoing television series. Once the main narrative routes and core mystery concluded within the planned episode order, the production reached its natural end.
Amnesia consists of a single season containing 12 standard broadcast episodes. In addition to the television run, a single original video animation episode was released in late 2013.
The anime itself did not spawn cinematic films or direct spin-off series, but it was supplemented by an OVA episode bundled with the DVD/Blu-ray release. The broader Amnesia franchise expanded primarily through its original video games, drama CDs, and stage play adaptations rather than animation.
No credible reports, production leaks, or official announcements indicate that a revival, reboot, or second season is being developed for Amnesia. Studio Brain's Base and the franchise IP holders consider the television project complete.
