The Industry Oracle - Prestige Tentpole
Oracle Status: Season 3 Pending Renewal
The subterranean armory of Murthehelp plunged into total warfare as Season 2 exploded across screens in summer 2026. Following the seismic revelation that Jeong Jin-man cheated death, the second chapter escalated the brutal feud against Babylon's lethal East Asian syndicate, pushing Jeong Ji-an from reluctant inheritor into hardened commander.
With the sophomore season wrapping its blood-soaked run in August 2026, the critically acclaimed thriller enters a calculated cool-down. Disney+ and director Lee Kwon expanded the canvas significantly with international heavyweights, leaving tantalizing loose ends across the mercenary underworld. While executives evaluate global engagement figures, creative architects are already quietly mapping the tactical fallout for a high-caliber third assault.

Frequently Asked Questions
Disney+ has not officially renewed A Shop for Killers for Season 3. Following the conclusion of Season 2 in August 2026, the streaming platform and creative leads have remained in evaluation mode regarding further installments.
Season 2 premiered internationally on Disney+ and on Hulu in the United States on July 22, 2026. The eight-episode season aired weekly installments, concluding its run on August 12, 2026.
The series is currently off-cycle with no active filming underway. Season 2 completed its post-production and broadcasting phase during late summer 2026, meaning any potential third chapter remains in prospective narrative planning rather than active development.
The extended gap stemmed from original story construction, extensive stunt choreography training, and complex cross-border casting. Because the first season adapted the core material of Kang Ji-young's novel, director Lee Kwon and writer Ji Ho-jin required additional development time to script an expanded storyline, while coordinating the busy schedules of returning stars and new international talent.
No canonical spin-offs or standalone franchise expansions are currently in development. Disney+ has focused exclusively on the central narrative featuring Jeong Ji-an and Jeong Jin-man rather than greenlighting offshoot series.
Japanese performers Masaki Okada and Hyunri joined the cast in major roles representing the East Asia syndicate Babylon. They starred alongside returning series leads Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun.
