Production Note - Limited Series

Production Type: Miniseries

The Keepers is a standalone Miniseries designed as a completed, finite historical narrative. The production involved extensive archival research and dozens of first-person interviews to reconstruct the timeline of events surrounding a Baltimore cold case and its connection to systemic abuse. This exhaustive investigative approach was intended to provide a comprehensive look at a specific historical tragedy within a single, self-contained season.

As a true crime documentary focusing on a specific victim and a defined set of historical allegations, the series serves as a complete body of work. The creators designed the narrative to reach a logical conclusion by presenting all available evidence and personal testimonies collected during the multi-year production process. Because the story focuses on a closed historical window and a specific set of legal and social outcomes, there was no intention to extend the series beyond its original seven-episode run.

Production Trivia: Directed by Ryan White and produced for Netflix, this seven-episode investigative documentary series explores the 1969 unsolved murder of Sister Catherine Cesnik.
