Franchise Status: Final Season Split-Cour in Production
BEASTARS remains a definitive pillar of television, having concluded its influential run on Netflix. The psychological drama revolutionized anime aesthetics through Studio Orange's pioneering 3D CGI, transforming Paru Itagaki's anthropomorphic high school setting into a sharp sociological parable about instinct, societal prejudice, and adolescent turmoil.
Anchored by the complex tension between the gentle gray wolf Legoshi and the dwarf rabbit Haru, BEASTARS proved that serialized adult animation could tackle visceral existential themes with both melancholic delicacy and intense theatricality.

Frequently Asked Questions
BEASTARS premiered in 2019 and will conclude its run with its final multi-part season, bringing the adaptation of Paru Itagaki's original manga to a planned end. The conclusion was designed specifically to fully cover the remaining chapters of the source material.
The series ended because it reached the natural conclusion of Paru Itagaki's award-winning manga storyline. Studio Orange and the production committee aimed to deliver a faithful, complete adaptation without inventing non-canonical filler material.
BEASTARS comprises three production seasons, with the third and final season divided into two separate cours. Across these seasons, the series produced roughly 36 to 48 total episodes documenting Legoshi's complete coming-of-age journey.
While BEASTARS has not received a standalone feature film or television spin-off, its creator Paru Itagaki authored a companion manga titled Beast Complex. Beast Complex features short anthology stories set within the same shared anthropomorphic universe, though it has not been fully adapted into a dedicated anime series.
There are no credible reports or official announcements regarding a reboot, sequel series, or revival. Because the anime was produced as a definitive adaptation of the complete original manga, the franchise is regarded as historically finalized.
