Frequently Asked Questions

As of now, neither the BBC nor Netflix has officially canceled Champion, but a second season has not yet been commissioned. The series was structured to tell a complete story, which often leads to shows being categorized as limited series if viewership targets aren't met for a renewal.

There is currently only one season of the musical drama, which consists of eight episodes. The season premiered in the United Kingdom in mid-2023 before making its global debut on Netflix in early 2024.

There are currently no credible rumors or official announcements regarding a reboot or revival of the series. While the show received critical acclaim for its soundtrack and storytelling, the production team has not indicated any plans to return to the world of the Champion siblings.

There are no existing or planned spin-offs for Champion at this time. The series remains a standalone project focused specifically on the rivalry and musical careers of Boscoe and Vita Champion.

Netflix has not released any information regarding a second season, and the show's future remains uncertain. Its status likely depends on viewership data across both the BBC and Netflix platforms, which has not resulted in a renewal order yet.

While not explicitly marketed as a limited series at launch, the lack of a renewal announcement a year after its debut suggests it may remain a single-season project. The story concludes in a way that provides closure for the main characters while leaving minor threads open for potential continuation.
