Frequently Asked Questions

Liebe. Jetzt! concluded its broadcast run in December 2020 on ZDFneo and the ZDFmediathek. The series was designed as a rapid-response anthology capturing interpersonal dynamics during the early COVID-19 pandemic, naturally wrapping up after its planned seasonal installments.

The series ended because its narrative concept was fundamentally tied to the immediate social and emotional realities of the 2020 pandemic lockdowns. Once the producers fulfilled their storytelling goal of documenting intimate relationships during that historic window, the project reached its natural conclusion.

Liebe. Jetzt! consists of two seasons and a total of 12 episodes. The first season aired in spring 2020 with six episodes, followed by a second six-episode run subtitled Christmas Edition in December 2020.

There are no credible reports, announcements, or plans by ZDF to revive Liebe. Jetzt!. Because the anthology served as a unique time capsule of 2020 pandemic life, the network and production team have treated it as a completed artistic endeavor.

No canonical spin-offs, prequels, or feature films exist for Liebe. Jetzt!. Each episode served as a standalone story featuring different cast members, leaving the series as a self-contained episodic collection without an extended media franchise.
