Production Note - Limited Series

Production Type: Limited Series

Save Our Squad with David Beckham is a standalone Limited Series designed as a completed, finite historical narrative. The production follows global football icon David Beckham as he returns to his roots in East London to mentor the Westward Boys, a youth team struggling at the bottom of their league. This documentary project was specifically structured to document a single, transformative season, focusing on the mentorship and personal growth of the young athletes rather than serving as an ongoing multi-season reality program.

The series reaches its natural conclusion as the football season ends, providing a definitive resolution to the team's quest to avoid relegation. Produced as a collaboration between Studio 99 and Twenty Twenty, the high-production-value docuseries was intended to be a concise and impactful look at grassroots sports. Because the narrative is tied to a specific group of players at a specific moment in time, the show remains a finite historical record of their journey together.

Production Trivia: Save Our Squad with David Beckham is a four-part docuseries produced by Twenty Twenty and Studio 99 for Disney+.
