Toxic Town is a standalone Limited Series designed as a completed, finite historical narrative. Developed for Netflix by screenwriter Jack Thorne, the production dramatizes the real-life Corby toxic waste scandal and the subsequent legal battle led by mothers fighting for justice after a rise in birth defects. The series was meticulously researched to capture the decade-long struggle within a condensed format, ensuring the narrative remains focused on the specific historical events of the case rather than an ongoing fictionalized drama.

The production scale was intentionally contained to four episodes to maintain the intensity of the legal and emotional stakes involved in the litigation against the local council.
