Production Note - Limited Series

Production Type: Miniseries

Stags (2024) is a standalone Miniseries designed as an active, finite historical narrative. The production was conceived as a high-stakes survival thriller that follows a groom and his groomsmen as they are incarcerated in a lawless foreign prison. By focusing on a specific, escalating crisis, the showrunners utilized a limited format to ensure the tension remains concentrated on the immediate survival of the core group without the need for multi-season expansion.

The scale of the production involved significant location shooting to create an immersive and claustrophobic atmosphere. This creative choice supports a definitive narrative arc where the primary conflict is resolved within the allocated six episodes. As a closed-ended story, it prioritizes a complete character journey from the initial bachelor party celebrations to the harrowing final consequences of their legal predicament.

Production Trivia: Produced by Eleven for Paramount+, Stags is an original six-part thriller series created and written by Daniel Cullen and directed by David Kerr. The production was filmed on location in Tenerife, serving as the backdrop for the fictional South American prison setting of Puerto de la Roca.
