Series Overview:
Formel Eins, the first weekly pop show on German television, launched in April 1983. The show, which was broadcast on all three ARD channels, featured all the new entries in the German Top 75 (later: Top 100), the British and American charts, as well as other video clips, concert performances, movie tips, and numerous stars and starlets who presented their latest hits in the studio setting, which was usually modeled after a car repair shop. The show was produced at Bavaria Studios in Munich.
