Series Overview:
Hannah Hauxwell, a spnister farmer from the Yorkshire Dales where she lived in abject poverty, first appeared on British TV screens in the late 1970s in "Too Long A Winter" and warmed the heart of the nation. In this series, Hannah travels to 6 countries in Europe following in the footsteps of Victorian maidens who travelled with Thomas Cook - the Father of the Travel Industry.
