Series Overview:
GasTank was a music and chat show presented by Rick Wakeman and Tony Ashton that ran for six episodes from 1982 to 1983. It originally aired oh Channel 4 in the UK, and was recorded in a studio made to look like a small bar in front of a small invited audience. The house band comprised Rick Wakeman (keyboards), Tony Ashton (electric piano and vocals), Tony Fernandez (drums), and Chas Cronk and Jerome Rimson alternating bass duties. The general format of each episode was that each guest would perform one or more songs with the house band, Ashton would sing a song, and Wakeman would play an instrumental piece. Rick would also chat with one or more of the guests over a beer in the "bar".
