On YouTube, "DEATH NOTE - IL LIBRYCINO DEL MUORI" is a wildly popular parody of the famous anime *Death Note*. Created by Giallo, this abridged series takes the dark, psychological thriller and re-dubs it into an absurd, fast-paced comedy. The story still follows high school genius Lite Yagami, who finds a notebook that can kill anyone whose name he writes in it. However, the dialogue is replaced with hilarious, nonsensical lines, pop culture references, and exaggerated character traits. Lite becomes a comically unhinged mastermind, L is an eccentric detective with a sweet tooth, and the death god Ryuk is obsessed with apples.
