Young comic artist Qi Nian is struggling with a creative block. To find inspiration for her new romance series, she decides to base her male lead on the handsome but emotionally distant professor, Ji Yanxin. Through a twist of fate, Qi Nian becomes his assistant, giving her the perfect opportunity to observe him. However, breaking through his cold and reserved personality proves to be a much bigger challenge than she anticipated. As she tries to understand him for her art, a sweet and unexpected romance begins to develop between the bubbly artist and the serious academic.
