Dahaad is a standalone Limited Series that concluded its 8-episode run in May 2023. The production represents a high-caliber collaboration between Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films, marking the first Indian series to premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. This police procedural was conceived as a singular narrative arc, meticulously detailing a sub-inspector pursuit of a calculated serial killer across the landscape of Rajasthan.

The creative decision to maintain a limited format allowed the showrunners to focus on a complete character study and social commentary without the need for seasonal cliffhangers. By resolving the central mystery and providing closure for the primary protagonists within the initial set of episodes, the creators ensured the artistic integrity of the story remained intact.
