Series Overview:
The tax officer and family man Hugo Marquardt lost his wife two years ago and still tries to enable his daughters Emma and Laura to live as safe and carefree as possible. Some kind of normalcy is slowly returning to family life. Laura has her first boyfriend at the age of 16 and Emma has regained her happiness thanks to her best friend Chrissie. All of this is shaken when Chrissie's father Marius Milner is released from prison after eight years. He had killed a person, but now swears on behalf of his wife Kitty and his daughter that he will leave his old life behind.
