High Country

High Country is a standalone Miniseries designed as an active, finite historical narrative. The production was filmed on location in the Victorian Alps to capture the rugged and isolating atmosphere of the Australian high country, which serves as a central character in the mystery. The scale of the project involved significant logistical coordination to portray the disappearance of five people in a wilderness setting, focusing on a dense, self-contained investigation led by Detective Andrea Whitford.

The narrative was structured specifically to provide a definitive resolution to its central disappearance arc within the span of eight episodes. By utilizing a finite run, the creators were able to explore complex themes of local folklore and environmental tension without the need for open-ended plot lines. This design ensures that the audience receives a complete emotional and procedural journey that concludes with the exhaustion of its primary source material and creative vision.
