Production Note - Limited Series

Home Town Kickstart is a standalone Limited Series that concluded its 6-episode run in May 2022. This production expanded the reach of the Napier franchise by deploying various HGTV experts to revitalize six distinct American small towns: Buffalo, Wyoming; Cornwall, Ontario; Winslow, Arizona; LaGrange, Georgia; Thomaston, Georgia; and Minden, Louisiana. The scale of the project was massive, requiring a coordinated effort between multiple design teams and local governments to execute three specific projects per town intended to spark long-term economic and social growth.

The series was designed as a finite social experiment and promotional event rather than a recurring procedural. By focusing on a specific set of inaugural towns with the goal of providing a kickstart for local residents to continue the work themselves, the narrative arc reached a natural conclusion once the final reveal was televised. HGTV structured the series to serve as a high-impact bridge between seasons of its flagship programs, ensuring that the mission of community revitalization was fulfilled within its specific six-week window.
