Production Note - Limited Series

Home Town Kickstart is a standalone Limited Series that concluded its 6-episode run in May 2022. This high-impact expansion of the Home Town franchise moved beyond Laurel, Mississippi, to revitalize six American small towns: Buffalo, Wyoming; Cornwall, Ontario; Winslow, Arizona; LaGrange, Georgia; Thomaston, Georgia; and Minden, Louisiana. Produced in collaboration with People magazine, the series utilized a massive roster of HGTV talent to execute three distinct projects per town—a residential renovation, a small business upgrade, and a public space enhancement. The production represents a definitive narrative of community restoration, functioning as a concentrated philanthropic event rather than an ongoing procedural. Its scale and logistical complexity underscore its status as a singular, prestige television event within the home improvement genre.
