Production Note - Limited Series

Production Type: Limited Series

Liaison is a standalone Limited Series designed as a completed, finite historical narrative. This high-stakes espionage thriller was conceived as a multi-layered story exploring the intersection of political intrigue, cyber-warfare, and personal history between its two lead protagonists. The production was structured to resolve its central conspiracy within a single season, providing a definitive end to the immediate threats posed to the national security of the United Kingdom and France.

The series represents a significant international collaboration, being the first French and English language original production for its streaming platform. By utilizing a fixed six-episode format, the creators focused on a tight, cinematic pacing that allowed for a complete character arc for the main operatives. This intentional design ensured that the narrative reached a conclusive resolution, maintaining the integrity of its specific political and romantic stakes without the requirement for ongoing seasonal expansion.
