In 2003, a Brazilian rocket exploded on its platform and killed 21 people, a tragedy that put an end to the Brazilian space program. The problems that caused this accident, however, go back a long way and date back to a country that didn't like rockets. The curious thing is that it wasn't always like this. There was a time in the late 1940s when Brazil was very interested in aerospace and we even launched a rocket. If things had been a little different, would we have reached space? Is it possible for Brazil to have embarked on space exploration? This is an alternative history of the Brazilian space program, based on real events at the time and simulated on the computer. Will it now?
