**Amazon’s psychological thriller *The Devil's Hour* is currently locking picture on its highly anticipated third and final season.** Following the simultaneous renewal strategy that allowed production to shoot seasons back-to-back, the creative team is now deeply entrenched in the final stages of visual effects and audio mixing. Creator Tom Moran has meticulously mapped out this concluding chapter, ensuring the complex timeline mechanics and haunting narrative loops resolve with devastating precision. Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine have already completed their intensive ADR sessions.

This prolonged post-production window is a deliberate choice by the studio to maintain the high cinematic standards established in earlier installments. Frequently Asked Questions

The series was simultaneously renewed for a second and third season by Amazon Prime Video in 2022. The upcoming third season is confirmed to be the final chapter of the story.

The third season is currently in the post-production and visual effects stage. Filming was previously completed back-to-back with the second season to ensure the young actors did not age out of their roles.

The two-year release gap between seasons is largely due to Amazon Prime Video utilizing a specific October release window for the series. Even though the second and third seasons were filmed consecutively, the extended wait allows for complex post-production work and strategic platform pacing.

There are no canonical spin-offs currently in development for the franchise. Creator Tom Moran envisioned the overarching story as a strict trilogy, which will fully conclude with the third season.

While Amazon Prime Video has not announced an exact release date, industry patterns strongly point to a premiere in October 2026. This would perfectly align with the October release windows utilized for the first two seasons.

Main stars Jessica Raine and Peter Capaldi are confirmed to return for the final season. They will be joined by series regulars like Nikesh Patel and Benjamin Chivers to close out the time-bending storyline.
