Frequently Asked Questions
ABC canceled The Fix primarily due to low viewership and underperformance in the Nielsen ratings during its initial 2019 run. Despite the high-profile involvement of co-creator Marcia Clark, the series failed to capture a large enough audience to justify the production costs of a second season.
There is only one season of The Fix, which consists of a total of ten episodes. The series was marketed as a legal thriller and completed its full broadcast cycle on ABC before its official cancellation.
There are currently no credible rumors or official announcements regarding a reboot or revival of The Fix. Because the show struggled with ratings and has been off the air since 2019, it is unlikely that a network or streaming service will pick it up for a second season.
No spin-offs were ever produced or announced for The Fix during its time on air or following its cancellation. The series remained a standalone project without any expanded universe or related television properties.
The Fix is a fictional drama, though it was co-written and inspired by the real-life experiences of Marcia Clark, the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial. It explores a 'what-if' scenario where a prosecutor gets a second chance to convict a high-profile figure they previously failed to put behind bars.
The season one finale provided a significant resolution to the main murder mystery involving the character Sevvy Johnson, acting as a functional series finale. While it left some minor narrative threads open for a potential second season, the primary story arc reached a definitive climax.
