In each episode, “The Taste on tour” offers a reunion with winners such as Mona Hiemaier, known from season 12, or Yvonne Kries from the Allstars season. Star chefs such as Alina Meissner-Bebrout and Max Strohe will also be taking part. They will compete against each other in cooking challenges at special locations. The aim is to refine dishes with a regional ingredient. In Franconia it's about hazelnuts, at Schliersee it's about a locally produced whisky and in Schleswig-Holstein it's about ham. A coach from “The Taste” will judge the duels and whoever wins will go through to the semi-finals and then the final.
