Series Overview:
For forensic doctor Dr. Theresa Wolff, death is her job and life is her passion. She moved from Berlin back to her old home in Jena to take over the management of the Institute for Forensic Medicine. To understand more about the circumstances of death in violent crimes, she also researches the lives of victims. In her first case, the brisk forensic scientist, who is described as heartily rough and direct, clashes with the responsible investigator Robert Brückner. The long-established and experienced detective chief inspector from Jena is amazed to discover that the new head of forensic medicine wants to be there when the victim's relatives visit. Not enough that Theresa Wolff immediately starts a strange dialogue with the dead woman. She also interferes in the investigator's area of competence - true to her motto: "Only those who know life can understand death."
