Frequently Asked Questions
The Summer I Turned Pretty concluded its multi-season run on Prime Video following the release of its third season, which completed the overarching narrative adapted from Jenny Han's literary trilogy. The production reached its natural endpoint as designed by the showrunner once the original source material was fully dramatized.
The series ended because it successfully adapted all three novels in Jenny Han's book series: The Summer I Turned Pretty, It's Not Summer Without You, and We'll Always Have Summer. The creative team chose to honor the book trilogy's definitive resolution rather than extending the storyline beyond its intended literary arc.
The coming-of-age drama produced three seasons comprising a total of 26 episodes for Prime Video. The first season aired seven episodes, the second season expanded to eight episodes, and the final season concluded the franchise with eleven episodes.
There are no credible reports or official announcements regarding a reboot, revival, or direct sequel to the main series. Creator Jenny Han and Amazon MGM Studios have treated Belly Conklin's story as a complete narrative, focusing subsequent creative partnerships on other standalone projects.
No canonical televised spin-offs, prequels, or feature film extensions have been produced within the specific universe of Cousins Beach. While Jenny Han has adapted other literary properties for streaming, they remain entirely separate continuities with distinct characters and settings.
The entire series remains exclusively archived and available to stream on Amazon Prime Video worldwide. As an original production for the platform, all three seasons are preserved there in full high definition and 4K UHD formats.
